Location: Lake Hopatcong, NJ
Dates: June 21 – August 13, 2026 (Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends)
About Willow Lake Day Camp:
Willow Lake is a premier day camp located on a beautiful 35-acre campus in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. We offer a wide range of activities including sports, aquatics, arts, and adventure, with a focus on building friendships, confidence, and lifelong skills in campers ages 3–14.
Position Overview:
Our Kids' Cooking Activity Specialist is responsible for leading engaging, hands-on basic cooking and baking activities for campers. This role blends creativity and teaching—helping children develop kitchen skills, try new recipes, and gain confidence while having fun in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead daily cooking sessions for campers ages Pre-K through 8th grade.

Teach basic cooking skills (measuring, mixing, kitchen safety, etc.) in an age-appropriate way.

Develop simple, kid-friendly recipes and adjust as needed for dietary restrictions.

Foster a positive and safe environment where all campers can participate.

Manage supplies and maintain a clean, organized cooking area.

Collaborate with counselors to engage campers and support group needs.
Qualifications:

Experience in cooking, culinary arts, teaching, or food-based activities with children.
- Home bakers and food lovers!

Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.

Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids of varying ages.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
