CTC Academy, located in Oakland, NJ (Bergen County), is a not-for-profit organization that serves special needs children/young adults, ranging from 6 to 21 years of age. CTC provides services to diverse learners with multiple and varying disabilities. Job Type: Full Time, 35.5 hours per week, 11 month position.
Start Date: September 2026
Required Certification:
· K-6 Elementary and Teacher of Students with Disabilities or
· Teacher of the Handicapped certificate
Job Responsibilities:
· Implement a high-quality curriculum while differentiating instruction to fulfill each child’s IEP
· Utilize a wide variety of assistive technology to meet the diverse instructional needs of students
· Collaborate with professional staff using a team approach
· Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.
· Demonstrate professional collaboration skills by working as a team with parents, professional staff and administration

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- 1 Year Teaching Experience (Preferred)
- Background Working with Students with Significant Disabilities (Preferred)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM (except Thurs. 8 AM to 3:30 PM)
Pay: From $60,000 per year
