Part-Time Bus Driver

The North Warren Regional School District is seeking a reliable, safety-oriented part-time Bus Driver to transport students in a safe and efficient manner and to perform all activities related to the operation of a school bus.  Hours are flexible.

Qualifications:        

• Minimum safe driving experience as determined by the Board of Education
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• Ability to maintain appropriate student discipline to ensure safety and well-being
• Basic mechanical aptitude to identify minor operational issues and report maintenance needs
• Knowledge of state and federal school transportation regulations preferred

Description:  

• Work year to be determined by the Board of Education

• Variable hours based on route assignments and district needs

• Compensation: $45.00 per hour  

Required:        

• Valid CDL with required endorsements
• Criminal History Background Check (NJDOE clearance required)
• Pre-employment physical examination and drug/alcohol testing as required by law
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States
