LEARNING DISABILITIES TEACHER CONSULTANT (LDTC) – JERSEY CITY SCHOOLS

The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), located in Passaic County, has an opening for a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) for the Jersey City Schools on an as needed basis for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

 Certifications:

• New Jersey LDTC

Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Criminal History background check.
• Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities:

• Experience preferred both as a Teacher and Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC).
• Responsibilities include evaluations and case management that meets the need of individual students in keeping with the educational goals, objectives and curriculum.
• Ability to communicate effective in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community while adhering to confidentiality guidelines at all times.
• Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive).
• Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities; and
• Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.

Salary Range:  $250.00 per evaluation; meeting rate - $60.00 per hour
