Position Title: School Technology Coach & Coordinator of Community, Educational, and Recreational Events

Reports to: Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Position Summary: The School Technology Coach & Coordinator of Community, Educational, and Recreational Events is a full-time, dual-role position responsible for supporting the effective integration of technology in classrooms and for coordinating and scheduling all district-wide events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional technology, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents and the Board of Education.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Coach (Approx. 70% of time) 

  • Instructional Support: Provide one-on-one and small group coaching to elementary and middle school teachers on how to effectively use educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Professional Development: Develop and lead technology-focused professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.The coach will participate in  training for new developments in instructional technology so they can turnkey new developments to the staff.
  • Curriculum Integration: Collaborate with teachers to design and implement technology-rich lessons and projects that align with the school's curriculum goals.
  • Resource Management: Research, evaluate, and recommend new educational technology tools and resources. Manage and maintain an inventory of technology equipment used in classrooms.
  • Troubleshooting: Offer basic technical support and troubleshooting for classroom technology issues. 
  • Student Assessments: Provide assistance for teachers and administrators when state assessments, benchmarks, and screenings are being administered on technological devices. 

School District Events  (Approx. 30% of time)

  • Event Planning: Lead the planning, scheduling, and communication of all district-wide events. Events include, but are not limited to, CER (Community, Education, Recreation planning and enrollment, the scheduling of all schoolwide events, and all athletic events and activities taking place at the school. 
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate all event logistics, including scheduling, venue booking, catering, a/v equipment, and vendor management.
  • Communication: Create and distribute promotional materials and communications for events. Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries.
  • Budgeting: Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure all events are executed within financial constraints.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Website/Social Media/School App: Publish and promote events on the school’s website, the school app, and on social media. Update the school district activities 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the PK-8 level
    • Experience in organizing, scheduling, and promoting school events. 
    • Education in Instructional Technology at the Bachelor's and/or Graduate Level preferred
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of current educational technology trends and tools.
    • Proficient with the use of student information systems and how they interact with other platforms 
    • Ability to add, edit, and subtract content from a website
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace and use of shared calendars
