Summer Curriculum Writer Position

ESL Curriculum Revision

Hours Required: 70 hours of curriculum writing. 

Start/End Date: June 19, 2026-August 31, 2026. 

Qualifications: 

1. Certified Teacher in the State of New Jersey
2. Experience with QSAC requirements and ESL certification
3. Ability to work cooperatively with a team of teachers and administrators and implement feedback and revisions required until the curriculum meets expectations.
4. Ability to meet curriculum deadlines.
5. Google Documents formatting skills. 

Reports To:  Supervisor of ELA

Job Goal:  To ensure the development, revision, and/or writing of the district's curriculum to align across skills from K-8. Completed draft of curriculum due July 24, 2026, or sooner with revisions and feedback to continue until the August BOE meeting. 

Performance Responsibilities: 

• Read NJDOE documents on required changes to curriculum.
• Conduct curriculum needs assessment.
• Review and meet with the curriculum director.
• Turnkey/coach staff on new changes and best practices.
• Revise or create curriculum. 

Evaluations: 

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education. Stipend per negotiated contract.
