STEAM TEACHER-Temporary Leave Replacement February 2025-June 2025

KINDERGARTEN – 6^TH GRADE

K-6 STEAM/GATE  Teacher Qualifications:

• Establish unit objectives that integrate the NJSLS for Science
• Collaborate with classroom teacher to implement and maintain a rigorous instructional program
• Model, craft, and deliver STEAM instruction that extends the learning experience from the general classroom through project-based learning methods
• Work in partnership with teachers and staff, modeling consistent effective teaching with
  technology, engagement, lesson plan design, use of technology, STEAM and online tools
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to the exploration of the design model and appropriate to individual development as well as the needs and interests of all students. 
• Works directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEAM initiatives and curriculum. 
• Use student-centered strategies incorporating inquiry based learning activities and 21st-century teaching skills.
• Engage students in STEAM experiences using programming, 3D printing, robotics, MakerSpace, and other platforms. 
• Highly effective communication, listening, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Effective written, verbal, and technology-based communication skills.

Requirements:

• NJ Dual certification preferred for K-6 and Special Education

• Strong understanding NJSLS for Science

• Experience in integrating the STEAM components (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics)

• Endorsement in a content area preferred

• Must pass Criminal History background check
