Assistant Coach- Girls Lacrosse

Reports to: Director of Athletic & Student Activities 

Description: The district is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach at Ramapo High School for the 2025-2026 season. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the lacrosse program, fostering a positive environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and workouts. ? Provide instruction on lacrosse techniques, strategies, and rules. 
• Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, and post-game analysis. ? Mentor student-athletes, promoting academic success and development. 
• Assist with equipment management and logistics with players and parents. 
• Foster a safe, inclusive and respectful team culture. 

Qualifications: 

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or substitute certificate 
• Previous coaching and/or playing experience in lacrosse at the high school, collegiate, or club level, preferred. 
• Knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, and safety protocols. ? Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, athletic staff, and school administration. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for high school athletes. ? Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.
