Summer Curriculum Writer Position - Advisory Curriculum Writing (6-8)
Hours Required: 100 hours of curriculum writing.
Start/End Date: June 24, 2025-August 31, 2025.
Qualifications:
Certified Teacher or Certified Educational Staff Member in the State of New Jersey
Experience with QSAC requirements, Social Studies and/or English Language Arts curriculum.
Ability to work cooperatively with a team of teachers and administrators and implement feedback and revisions required until the curriculum meets expectations.
Ability to meet curriculum deadlines.
Google Documents formatting skills.
Reports To: Supervisors of Curriculum
Job Goal: To ensure the development, revision and/or writing of the districts’ curriculum. Completed draft of curriculum due July 25, 2025 or sooner with revisions and feedback to continue until the August BOE meeting.
Performance Responsibilities:
Read NJDOE documents on required changes to curriculum.
Conduct curriculum needs assessment.
Review and meet with the curriculum director.
Turnkey/coach staff on new changes and best practices.
Revise or create curriculum.
Evaluations:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education. Stipend per negotiated contract.
