Teach 5-6 46-minute periods of history, sociology, geography, criminal justice, and/or economic literacy to classes of no more than 20 9-12 grade students. Design and implement engaging, interactive lessons that help them develop their historical and sociological knowledge and literacy, as well as their critical thinking skills. Create positive, student-centered learning environment that incorporates technology effectively and facilitates the completion of goals and objectives particular to the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Holders of out-of-state certification must have already applied for NJ certification and be able to document their status. New graduates must have completed all teacher preparation program requirements and have a letter from their program verifying completion and submission of certification of eligibility application to the NJDOE. Candidates must live in New Jersey or be planning to relocate to NJ.
