Spanish Teacher - Part-Time

The Franklin Township School District (Hunterdon County)  is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Spanish Part-Time to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching children and a commitment to creating an engaging and challenging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and cultural appreciation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Develop and implement differentiated instruction, use formative and summative assessment data to meet student's needs.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student development and address any academic or behavioral concerns.
• Stay current with educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• New Jersey Department of Education Teacher of Spanish Certification.
• Strong foundational background knowledge in Spanish required.
• Strong collaborative, planning and performance assessment skills.
• Knowledgeable in a variety of teaching strategies and a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural, diverse community.
• Experience working in self-contained and/or in-class support preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Proficiency in using technology as an educational tool is advantageous.
• Required criminal history background check.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Job Type: 

• Part-time

• Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 am - 3:30 pm

   

Salary:
$30,000-$35,000
