DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS
The Director of Athletics is responsible for overseeing the school’s athletic programs on behalf of the Principal. In doing so, he manages all coaches, schedules, and logistics for all athletics at Don Bosco Prep. He will also chair the Physical Education department.
Responsibilities and duties include:
In consultation and collaboration with physical education teachers, the Assistant Principal for Academics, the Principal, and the President, the Director of Athletics is responsible for supervising, mapping, and revising the current curriculum for grades 9-12.
Coordinating and scheduling all sports activities on an interscholastic level which involve Don Bosco Prep including facilities management, hiring of officials, coordinating with the Director of Security on security measures, transportation needs, and other duties as needed.
Ensuring compliance with all state and NJSIAA regulations, especially with regards to registration of students and eligibility to play.
Managing all communication of the athletic programs.
Managing all coaches including interviewing coaching applicants and screening candidates to be interviewed and hired by Principal. The Director of Athletics will manage enforcement of all school policies throughout the athletic program and be responsible for regularly evaluating all coaches.
