LEARNING DISABILITIES TEACHER-CONSULTANT (LDTC)

The Northern Region Educational Services Commission, with its Central office located in Wayne, NJ, is looking for Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) for the Oakland Public Schools in Oakland, NJ. for the 2025 - 2026 school year beginning on April 4th through June 30th.

Certifications:

• New Jersey LDTC

Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must meet Criminal History Background Check as per the Department of Education under N.J.S.A. 18A:6-7.2.
• Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities:

• Experience preferred both as a Teacher and Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC).
• Responsibilities include evaluations and case management that meets the need of individual students in keeping with the educational goals, objectives and curriculum.
• Ability to communicate effective in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community while adhering to confidentiality guidelines at all times.
• Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive).
• Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities; and
• Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.

Salary:  Following the PCESCTA salary guide, the starting salary range is a Step 4 - $82,008.00, as per the negotiaged contract and commensurate with experience.
