Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff, students, and administration in a Pre-K through Grade 8 Elementary/Middle school
- Monitor and maintain the computer network and various electronic systems
- Maintain all technical licenses and upgrade schedules
- Evaluate all apps, software and hardware used within the school for compatibility and student data privacy
- Train staff, students, and parents as needed
- Maintain a technical support website for staff
- Assume the lead and participate in all aspects of planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining new or enhanced systems
- Manage the district technology budget, purchases, and retirement of old equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass an NJDOE criminal background check
- Previous experience working in IT or similar background preferred
- Previous experience working in schools preferred
- Self–starter able to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems
- Network administration experience including Windows server, basic cabling,routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, anti-virus, cybersecurity
- Experience with student educational apps and online assessments
- Working knowledge of the following systems preferred:
- Genesis SIS
- Google Workspace for Education
- Windows ActiveDirectory
- Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access points
- Chromebooks, iPads, Windows Laptops, Macbooks
- Multi-Function Printers
- Website editing and design
- VoIP telephone systems
- Familiarity with the following systems:
- Door access control
- Alarm systems
- Security cameras
