The Calais School is a state-approved provider of special education for students with special needs. The school serves students in grades K – 12+ with multiple learning disabilities. Overseeing all curriculum development and lesson planning in alignment with New Jersey State-mandated core standards.

Create and lead daily PE lessons and activities.

Encourage students to compete in sporting events and evaluating their performance.

Demonstrate genuine care about students and a sincere belief that each student’s individual talents can be developed.

Enforce rules of conduct; supervise students in the gymnasium and cafeteria, or outside on the blacktop or athletic fields.

Participate in school-wide behavioral programs, document student behavior and make necessary referral.

Demonstrate skills being taught and assist students in performing skills.

Coordinate intramural games, including basketball, cross-country and track and field.

Organize school wise field day.

Teach safety rules related to each activity
