Interim Director of Student Services 

Seeking a highly qualified educational leader to serve as part-time Interim Director of Student Services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of special education regulations, student support services, compliance procedures, and collaborative leadership practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or School Administrator Certificate (CSA) required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in special education administration
  • Knowledge of NJ special education code, IDEA, Section 504, HIB, and related compliance requirements
  • Experience supervising Child Study Team processes, including evaluations, IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and case management procedures
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, staff, families, and outside agencies

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee district special education programs and related services
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supervise, observe, and evaluate child study team members, counselors, special education teachers, nurses, and related service providers
  • Support building administrators and staff regarding student services and programming
  • Facilitate resolution of parent concerns and student support matters
  • Coordinate IEP processes, program implementation, and out-of-district placements as needed
  • Assist with state reporting, compliance monitoring, and due process matters
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent


Salary is $600 per diem, approximately 3 times per week.
