Middle School Science Teacher

POSITION:                           (1) Middle School Science Teacher                                            

QUALIFICATIONS:           CEAS and/or Standard New Jersey Elementary School with Subject Matter Specialization: Science in Grades 5 – 8 and/or Science K – 12 Certification required.  Dual Certification in Middle School Science and Special Education are preferred.  Previous Middle School teaching experience is also preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to create engaging, inquiry-based lessons and laboratory experiences
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Develop lessons that promote scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and critical thinking
• Analyze data for the purpose of making instructional decisions
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support student growth
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 Plans
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades
• Utilize formative and standardized assessment results in lesson design
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff members
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to promote student success
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school initiatives

Salary:            Between $60,324 – $96,705
