Berkeley Heights Public Schools seeks a visionary instructional leader for grades 6-12. This role encompasses the following:

  1. Data analysis and data meetings with principals.

  2. Organizes and promotes all Professional development.

  3. Establishes all criteria for instructional programs grades 6-12.

  4.  Initiates the revision of existing curricula.

  5. Recommends to the Superintendent further activities to be followed in curriculum development and implementation in keeping with the needs of the school system and the community.

  6. Supervises the development and/or revision of curricula.

  7. Establishes and maintains systems for curricula evaluation.

  8. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new concepts in education and evaluates their potential impact on education.

  9. Advises and coordinates those aspects of budget preparation designed for curriculum implementation.

  10. Assists in evaluation of all phases of educational activity.

  11. Supervises content area supervisors and the director of technology.

  12. Assists in the recruitment, supervision and evaluation of staff.

  13. Serves as the Chief School Administrator in the absence of the Superintendent of Schools.

  14. Monitors and evaluates the Middle School and High School principals.

  15. Responsible for organizing state assessments.

  16. Co Chair of DEAC Committee.

Salary is commensurate with experience
