SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (HIGH SCHOOL) - JERSEY CITY NON PUBLIC SCHOOLS

The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), with its central office located in Wayne, New Jersey has a Part-Time opening for a Special Education Teacher (High School) for the Jersey City Non Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

Qualifications:

• Math, English and/or both certifications required
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Criminal History background check
• Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Responsibilities:

• Experience with presentation of lessons and provide access to student learning
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with staff and families
• Ability to communicate effective in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community
• Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive)
• Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities; and
• Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor

Salary Range:  As per negotiated contract and commensurate with experience as per the established PCESCTA Salary Guide ranging from $61,985 - $70,285 annual salary (pro-rated for part-time schedule).  Sick and Personal days are included per PCESCTA contract.
