Unity Charter School is located in Morristown, New Jersey and as a K-8 school of choice serves a diverse population of learners from 41 districts across Northern NJ. Unity Charter School provides an academically rigorous program that challenges students to think critically and creatively. Education for Sustainability, which is the foundation of the school's mission, is infused into the academic curriculum, and culture of the school, encouraging students to become globally aware citizens, actively engaged in the preservation of the environment, as well as the preservation and stability of economic, cultural and life sustaining systems. Unity Charter School was the first school in New Jersey to be honored with the Eco-Schools Green Flag for excellence in sustainability education. In addition, the school serves as one of four demonstration schools in the country for Positive Discipline in the Classroom and has received visitors from as far away as Iceland who came to see the discipline approach in action. Unity Charter School was also named an honorable mention school of character.
- Experience in Accounting/Bookeeping preferred
- Experience with complex budgets and financial management
- Experience in a School Business Office
- Technology Literate
- Strong Communications and Organizational skills
- K-8 Charter School with 240 students and $4.2 Million Budget
- Familiar CDK for A/P and R & L Payroll Company, preferred but not required.
- Charter School experience preferred, but not required.
