Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) (5 days)

Position Overview

An Occupational Therapist OTR/L, full-time or part-time in (Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex), is sought to join a dynamic team of therapists dedicated to providing specialized therapy services to children within a school environment. Ideal candidates will possess experience in working with pediatric patients and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in occupational therapy and related services pertinent to a school setting. Successful candidates will be proficient in assessing patient needs, administering and interpreting standardized testing, possessing knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), developing individualized educational treatment plans, and collaborating effectively with other members of the healthcare and child study team to ensure optimal outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess the physical needs of pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Educate support staff, teachers, patients/students, and their families.
• Provide support and guidance to families and staff of pediatric patients.
• Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for pediatric patients in a school setting.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments in accordance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Active NJ state license
