Teacher of Spanish (leave replacement)

Livingston Public Schools is seeking a qualified Spanish Teacher [Leave Replacement] for an anticipated opening at Livingston High School.

Position: High School Spanish Teacher [Leave replacement]

Location: Livingston High School, Livingston, NJ

Start Date: August 26, 2026

End Date: February 26, 2027

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards for Spanish 1CP and Spanish 2 CP
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the World Language Department
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

• New Jersey State Certification in Spanish (K-12) or eligibility for certification.
• Strong proficiency in the Spanish language and cultural competence in Spanish-speaking countries.
