• Valid New Jersey Drivers Commercial Driver’s License
• Minimum safe driving experience and record as determined by the Board of Education
• Sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems
• Ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure their safety and well being and protect against vandalism and security
• Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Demonstrate the ability to safely operate the type and size of vehicle assigned, or to be assigned, and also demonstrate knowledge of all requirements for school bus drivers as prescribed by state traffic laws and regulations of the state and district school board

• 2025-2026 Salary – Step 1 - $25,000 – prorated per annum based on start date

• Possibility of Extra Compensation to Include –
  • Field Trip - 2025-2026 rate $28.50 per hour
  • Dispatch/Extra Yard Work – 2025-2026 $21.00 per hour
  • Extra Run / Shuttle – 2025-2026 Run $28.50 per hour; Shuttle $14.25 per hour
  • Snow Removal – 2025-2026 $28.50 per hour
  • Meal Ticket - $15.00 after 8 hours, additional $5.00 after 12 hours, additional $5,00 after 16 hours, to be paid
  • Head Bus Driver – 2025-2026 - $3,500
