Position:         Supervisor of Educational Technology & Innovation

Pennsauken Public Schools is an urban/suburban Pre-K to 12th grade school district of approximately 5,000 students located in Camden County, New Jersey

Primary Function: The Supervisor of Educational Technology provides strategic leadership for instructional technology integration, digital learning, and innovation across the district. This role ensures technology supports Tier 1 instruction, enhances student cognitive demand, and complies with NJDOE mandates, cybersecurity requirements, and digital equity standards.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Technology Leadership: 

  • Develop and implement a district Educational Technology Plan aligned to NJSLS and district strategic priorities.
  • Support integration of instructional platforms within the district instructional framework.
  • Ensure technology enhances rigor, discourse, and student ownership.

Professional Development: 

  • Design and deliver professional development to administrators and school staff on effective technology integration into daily instruction.
  • Support principals in monitoring technology use through instructional look-fors.
  • Provide coaching on formative assessment tools and blended learning strategies.

Systems & Infrastructure:

  • Collaborate with IT to ensure device management, cybersecurity, and digital safety compliance.
  • Monitor appropriate use policies and digital citizenship implementation.

Data & Innovation: 

  • Analyze usage data to evaluate instructional impact of technology platforms.
  • Recommend tools that strengthen cognitive demand and real-time assessment.
  • Lead on and support the development and implementation of innovation initiatives.
  • Remain current & informed on industry trends and enhancements. 

Compliance: 

  • Ensure all students have access to devices and digital resources.
  • Align with NJDOE digital learning mandates and remote instruction requirements.

Qualifications: 

  • Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or eligibility, preferred.
  • Educational Technology endorsement preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification and experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development and school improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.

Terms: Terms and conditions determined by the Pennsauken Board of Education. 12-month position.

Salary: $96,900- $143,080 annually
