7th Grade Middle School English Language Arts Teacher
Start Date: November 14, 2025
Salary for the 2025-2026 year -$69,543
This position includes full health benefits. If choosing to waive out of health benefits, you will be entitled to receive an annual waive-out payment of approximately $5,000-$13,000, dependent upon plan/coverage.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Teaching middle school students foundational skills in English Language Arts, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary development.
- Designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards to foster critical thinking, literary analysis, and creative expression.
- Supporting students in developing writing skills across genres, such as narrative, argumentative, and expository writing, with an emphasis on structure, coherence, and style.
- Working with students in small groups or one-on-one to provide differentiated instruction and address individual learning needs.
- Preparing students for the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) by incorporating test-taking strategies, practice assessments, and targeted skill development to ensure readiness and confidence.
Qualifications:
- English (Endorsement Code 1410)
Or
Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization: English Language Arts in Grades 5 - 8 (Endorsement Code 1106) combined with Elementary School Teacher in Grades K - 6 (Endorsement Code 1001)
