Description

Glassboro Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates in the capacity of a Principal's Secretary. This is an anticipated vacancy with an expected start date as early as May 2021. The Principal's Secretary is a 12-month position responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Provide direct administrative assistance to the Principal & perform various clerical duties
  • Organize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the administration, faculty, students and parents of the school
  • Perform secretarial/clerical tasks of a varied nature. Many tasks will require a thorough knowledge of judgment within the scope of the authority granted by the Principal.
  • Maintain and submit reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process purchase orders using automated system
  • Working knowledge of Power School
  • Assist Principal in organizing, scheduling and overseeing Teacher Evaluation System
  • Work efficiently and effectively with all levels of school personnel

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong Background & working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal
  • High interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with fellow professionals, parents and visitors
  • Successful l completion of Fingerprinting and Criminal History Review Process
