About Willow Lake Day Camp:
Willow Lake is a premier day camp located on a beautiful 35-acre campus in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. We offer a wide range of activities including sports, aquatics, arts, and adventure, with a focus on building friendships, confidence, and lifelong skills in campers ages 3–14.
Position Overview:
Bring the adventure to summer! Willow Lake Day Camp is looking for an energetic, safety-minded Outdoor Adventure Specialist to lead and oversee our high-adventure activities, including ziplines, climbing tower, low ropes, and our adventure challenge course. This is the perfect role for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys working with kids, and isn’t afraid of heights!
Outdoor Adventure Program Includes:
- 6 Age appropriate zip lines including mini zip lines and over the lake zip lines
- 30 foot climbing tower
- 3 Adventure Parks with self-belay so campers can move through courses at own pace

What You’ll Do
- Lead daily adventure activities for campers , creating a safe and exciting experience
- Operate and supervise the zipline, climbing tower, small ropes course, and adventure challenge elements
- Ensure proper safety procedures, harnessing, and equipment checks
- Encourage campers, build confidence, and create a positive environment
- Collaborate with other specialists and leadership to maintain smooth activity flow
- Participate in staff training and ongoing skill development throughout the summer
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be comfortable working at various heights
- Prior climbing or ropes course experience preferred, but not required — we provide full training
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to lead groups with confidence and patience
- Strong awareness of safety and ability to follow protocol
- Enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced, high-energy camp environment
- We are accepting applicants that are college graduates or older.
