Substitute Teacher Opportunities

The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), located in Wayne, New Jersey, seeks qualified substitute teachers to serve in partner school districts and NRESC programs.

Membership in the NRESC Substitute Registry offers individuals access to a variety of daily job opportunities across multiple school districts and educational institutions.

Below is a list of school districts where board-approved NRESC substitutes may accept posted jobs. Please note that hourly rates are determined by each partner school district and may vary.

• Haledon Public Schools: $125 per day
• North Haledon Public Schools: $125 per day for teachers and $100 per day for classroom aides
• Passaic County Community College Child Development Center: $150 per day
• Pompton Lakes Daycare Center: $125 per day

• Little Falls Public Schools: $140 per day for teachers and $100 per day for classroom aides
• Second Home Day Habilitation Center (Totowa): $125 per day

  *This is a program operated by the NRESC.*

• Totowa Public Schools: $150 per day for teachers based on substitute credential type
• Woodland Park Public Schools: $150 per day for teachers and $80 per day for classroom aides
• Student Athlete Academy:  $150 per day 

Interested candidates must possess 60 college credits, attend an orientation session, and undergo a criminal history check.
