Student Transportation Passenger Van Driver

POSITION: Student Transportation - Driver (District-Owned Vehicle – Non-CDL Required)
NUMBER OF POSITIONS:  (2)
SALARY: $30.00 PER HOUR 
The Wood-Ridge Public School District is seeking qualified staff members to provide transportation for students utilizing a district-owned vehicle with a maximum capacity of eight (8) passengers, excluding the driver.  

• Morning and Afternoon routes available
• Minimum of 1 hour wages per trip

• District is willing to hire different individuals for each time slot, if necessary

  
  Position Start Date:  September 1 2026
   
  RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport students to and from designated schools, programs, or activities using a district-owned, non-CDL vehicle.
• Adhere to all district, state, and federal transportation policies and safety regulations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records as required (mileage, trip logs, student attendance during transport, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of required background checks (criminal history, CARI, and MVR as applicable).
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all student transportation safety practices.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain professional conduct with students and staff.
• Completion of School Bus Driver and Aid Training for Interacting with Students with Special Needs.
