DESCRIPTION:
Extended School Year (ESY) Paraprofessional
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide daily 1-to-1 instruction and assistance for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must meet or be able to meet NJ “Highly Qualified Paraprofessional” requirements, which include one of the following: Minimum of 48 college credits; Associate’s degree or higher; or Passing score on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT & COMPENSATION
In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, this is an hourly role, part time, up to X hours per week, compensated at X / hourly. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
