Special Education Teacher - Anticipated

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

• Effectively collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching and inclusion settings to differentiate instruction and support student growth.

• Foster strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, and administrators to create a cohesive support network for students.

• Utilize innovative instructional strategies, personalized learning techniques, and current educational technology to enhance student learning and engagement.

• Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic and social-emotional development.

• Required NJ State Certification:

  • Teacher of the Handicapped OR

  • Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD)

• Preferred:Certification in Mathematics or English Language Arts.

• Skills:

  • A deep understanding of current best practices in special education.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Proven knowledge of effective instructional strategies, personalized learning, co-teaching models, and the integration of technology in the classroom.
