Description TITLE OF OPEN POSITION:    Secondary (6-8) English/Language Arts Teacher/TCH00120
                                                                         
 
DATE POSITION WILL BE VACANT:  January 5, 2026

SALARY RANGE:      $67,494.00 - $72,994.00, as per contract with the Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Education Association
 
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:          Middle School Teacher of English (Grades 6-8)
 
                                               
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY: 
    
1.   New Jersey Teacher Certification in ELA
2.   Knowledge of field 
3.   Student centered focus
4.   Required criminal history background check   
                                                                               
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED:
  1. Excellent planning skills
  2. Ability to make learning engaging and Relevant
  3. Be familiar with the NJSLS in ELA
  4. Knowledge of cooperative learning techniques
  5. Knowledge of NJ state testing requirements
