New Jersey Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant Certificate? Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education? Effective problem-solving, human relations and communication skills? Successful experience working on Child Study Team preferred? Chapter #116 Security ClearanceDuties/Responsibilities:? Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing andhelping pupils solve learning, social, and behavioral problems? Assists in grouping children for special instructional purposes or activities so as to enhancepupil performance and provide for individualized needs as outlined on the IEP? Serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary IEP team? Assembles available data as per individual assessment? Assists school personnel and families of students in planning educational programs? Follows Federal and State mandated procedures for referral, evaluations, classification, andthe development and monitoring of IEPs? Provides academic evaluations of students referred? Assists classroom teachers in helping students by developing educational suggestions andprograms which might prove beneficial.? Assists the special education teacher by providing educational programs and assists in theirimplementation.? Provides follow-up services which include school visitations, review of educationalprograms, and meetings with concerned constituencies.Compensation:?
