English Teacher - Middle School

Position: English Teacher - Middle School

Position Summary: Ridgewood Public Schools seeks a dual-certified English Teacher at George Washington Middle School. Certifications in English and Teacher of Students with Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging and standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature
• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth
• Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and support school-wide initiatives
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Participating in professional development and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

Start and End Date: 08/26/26-06/30/27 plus 3 days New Teacher Orientation in August.

Working Conditions: Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $70,062-$125,242, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.

Selection Process: Interview and demonstration lesson.
