MRHS has an anticipated opening for a Full-Time Custodian.
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
Hours: Vary (Possible Day or Night Shift)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable custodian to join our facilities team. This is a full-time, year-round position responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work to support the safe and efficient operation of school district buildings.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building maintenance tasks individually or as part of a team.
• Maintain and care for district buildings.
• Safely operate maintenance machinery.
• Read and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals and meet project deadlines.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and contractors.
• Perform duties in various weather conditions.

 Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined.
• Prior experience in general facilities maintenance preferred.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License required.
• Black Seal License must be obtained within two years from the date of hire.

 Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting Salary: $41,321.00
• Benefits: Eligible for family medical, prescription, and dental coverage. Includes vacation and sick leave.
• Contract: 12-month position; represented by the MOPS Bargaining Unit and NJEA.
