Washington Borough Schools is a student-centered PreK-6 district in the heart of Warren County, New Jersey, serving approximately 570 students across Taylor Street School (PK-2) and Memorial School (3-6). School Counselor (Taylor Street School, PK-2)
The Washington Borough School District is seeking a dedicated and proactive School Counselor to join our team at Taylor Street School. In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of a collaborative environment, providing comprehensive services that nurture the social, emotional, and behavioral development of our PK-2 learners.
Responsibilities:

Provide dynamic and responsive counseling services to students, fostering their well-being and growth.

Develop and implement innovative programs that support the holistic development of students.

Offer valuable guidance and professional development to school staff, empowering them to support our students.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a strong support network for each student.

Actively participate in the school's PBIS Core Team, ensuring students receive the support they need.

Embrace other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our school community.
- Serve as Case Monitor of 504s for Taylor Street students
- Serve as McKinney Vento liaison for qualifying students at Taylor Street
Qualifications:

Valid New Jersey School Counselor certification.

Demonstrated experience working with elementary school students.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Ability to work collaboratively with others, contributing to our team-oriented environment.

Salary Range: $60,035-$87,950 as per salary guide for 2026-2027 WEA collectively negotiated contract.
