Willow Lake Day Camp strives to ensure that every camper experiences growth and success in a safe, well supervised environment. We believe that camp provides a unique atmosphere where children can be themselves, try new things and build life long friendships.
We are looking for friendly, fun, and responsible teachers, grad students and college students majoring in art, specifically ceramics, to become part of our staff.
Our 35 acre magnificent campus is located in Lake Hopatcong. We are easily accessible from Routes 80, 280, 287, 24 and 15. We have staff from Rockaway, Sparta, Livingston, Morristown, West Orange, South Orange, Montville, Hopatcong, Fairfield, Roseland, Parsippany and everywhere in between.
Our campers range in age from 3-15 and come to camp for a minimum of 4 weeks. Our younger campers have their schedule planned for them while campers entering second grade and older can begin to choose from our elective program. Our program offers a wide variety of activities which include: all athletics, archery, climbing tower, zip line, gymnastics, dance, ceramics, jewelry, general art, creative play areas and so much more!
Our staff consists of high school students, college students, graduate students and teachers who work as group counselors and accompany the same group of campers throughout the entire day all summer. Most teachers and graduate students are hired as specialty counselors who run each activity. Our staff love being around children and enjoy spending their summers outdoors.
The Willow Lake program is designed to provide an atmosphere where campers build their self-esteem and acquire skills at the same time. Our activities challenge our campers and our staff validates each success. As our campers get older, we allow them more elective choices in their program to foster independence.
