Part-Time Custodian/Maintenance (Evening/Night Shift)

PART-TIME CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE (EVENING/NIGHT SHIFT)

12-month; Non-exempt

Position to begin immediately.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Must show proof of driver’s license and can drive at night.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Awareness of factors of fire and health safety involved in the care of buildings.
• Knowledge of athletic field maintenance is a plus.
• Black Seal License is a plus.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

• Checks and secures the building at the beginning and end of shift for the purpose of ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the building.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways, and other areas of the building according to school district standards.
• Clears snow from the entrance and walks, and spreads sand and ice melting chemicals.
• Provides ground-keeping duties, clears debris, and maintains grounds.
• Ability to work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
• Ability to work above ground from ladders and automatic lifts.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs unassisted.

The salary offered will be based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is between $20,000 and $30,000. Part-time employees are eligible to participate in our 403(b) plan.
