The Sayreville Board of Education seeks an accomplished, innovative, and student-centered educational leader to build on the district's longstanding tradition of excellence and advance achievement for all students. Serving approximately 6,400 PreK-12 students in nine schools, the district operates with a $167 million budget and is supported by approximately 640 teachers. Recognized for strong academic performance, community partnerships, and commitment to the whole child, Sayreville offers differentiated instruction, tiered interventions, Advanced Placement, dual enrollment opportunities, and a wide range of arts, athletics, and extracurricular programs. The district is also distinguished by its award-winning special education initiatives, including the Bombers Beyond Café, an 18-21-year-old program launched in 2023.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in: embracing cultural diversity, strong communication and interpersonal skills, personnel management, curriculum, finance, planning, and a commitment to equity and meeting the needs of all learners.
Qualifications:
- NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (CE) required
- Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Central Office or Principal experience required
- Earned Doctorate required
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred
The district offers a competitive salary commensurate with educational background and experience (salary range: $225,000 – $265,000) along with a compensation program for which employees are eligible, including medical insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, etc., subject to New Jersey regulations.
