Assemble, install, maintain and configure all district network hardware including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, security appliances, VOIP Phones, cabling and other network related hardware.
Install, configure and maintain all district server infrastructure and equipment including physical, virtual, and cloud hosted environments.
Manage and maintain district technology services, including Active Directory. O365 and Google Workspace and other SAAS.
Manage and maintain district MDM solutions including but not limited to Apple School Manager, Meraki MDM, Desktop Central, and Jamf.
Diagnose and resolve all district wide LAN, WLAN, WAN and internet related problems to insure maximum uptime and availability of services.
Implement, maintain and regularly test backup solutions for all districtwide servers.
Implement, maintain and regularly monitor cyber security initiatives (anti-virus, firewalls and EDR amongst others) and reports (NJCCIC, CISA, FBI, DHS and vendors amongst others) to prevent cyber security incidents, and mitigate cyber security risks from various threat vectors.
Accurately maintain, document and track inventory of district technology assets.
Provide technical support to administration, teachers, staff and students throughout the district.
Maintain A/V systems including projectors, digital displays, presentation controllers, video switchers, audio systems, wired/wireless microphones, projection screens, amongst others.
Provide A/V support for presentations and events throughout the district including assemblies, Board Meetings, community nights, and commencement ceremonies and others as they arise.
Assist in the creation of documentation and tutorials focused on classroom, office or school-wide technology initiatives.
Serve as an escalation point for district Computer Technicians.
Regularly train and update members of the Technology Department with latest industry standards and best practices.
Regularly assess and make recommendations related to the purchase of technology equipment; both hardware and software.
Maintain and provide documentation related to all district wide network and technology systems.
Regularly report on, update and document district technology projects and incentives from inception to completion to all stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as they arise.
Associates Degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems (min)
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or other related field preferred.
Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ and/or CMNO certifications preferred.
Extensive knowledge of networking standards including TCP/IP, IPv4. IPv6 and OSI models
Extensive knowledge of networking systems and protocols including, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, OSPF and VOIP.
Understanding of current network, server and security industry standards.
Ability to inspect, assess, troubleshoot and repair network systems, hardware and server software.
Extensive knowledge of server infrastructure including Windows and Linux based servers.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of end-users.
Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to report work orally and/or in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and others contacted in the course of work.

Experience in working in WIndows, MacOS, iOS, Chrome OS and Android operating systems.
