School Psychologist 

(Full Time - Tenure Track)  

Effective: Immediately

The Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist to join our team. This position involves providing psychological services, counseling, and case management to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid NJ School Psychologist certification.
  • Expertise in psychological assessments, counseling, intervention strategies, and special education processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Serve as a case manager for students with special needs, ensuring all services and accommodations outlined in IEPs are delivered effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ mental health and emotional needs.
  • Design and implement interventions to support student success in academic and social settings.
  • Facilitate meetings, including IEP and eligibility meetings, to ensure compliance with special education laws and guidelines.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for students and staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with school teams to support the implementation of school-wide positive behavior and mental health initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families on topics related to mental health, behavior, and learning.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of evaluations, services, and communications.
