FULL TIME TEACHER

Certificated candidates in either:
Technology Education/STEM/Engineering Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and refine course(s) in any of the following depending on expertise: traditional technology education, robotics, engineering or STEAM.
Use project-based learning, inquiry, and design challenges (e.g. robotics competitions, maker projects, prototyping)
Integrate principles from mathematics, science, computer science, arts and engineering disciplines
Manage Gateway’s makerspace lab equipment, safety protocols, inventory, and shop/tech infrastructure
Recruit and advise students about pathways in engineering, STEM, career opportunities (internships, competitions)

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in technology education, engineering, engineering technology, robotics, mechatronics, or closely related technical field
Experience with robotics
Experience with makerspace skills such as laser engraves, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, DTF printers, etc.
Innovative curriculum design
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Certification / Credential Requirements (NJ):

Traditional Route / CEAS: Certificates considered for this position:

Engineering Technology Endorsement
Electronics Technology Endorsement
Technology Education Endorsement

Alternate Route - Relevant industry related credentials in any of the above areas will be considered.
