Middle School English Teacher

James Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School English Teacher to join our faculty immediately.The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading and writing while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills within a faith-filled, student-centered environment. Saint James Elementary School is located in Red Bank, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Teach reading comprehension, grammar, writing, vocabulary, and literature analysis
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction where appropriate
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect and learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and performance
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
• Support and uphold the mission and values of the school

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a faith-based, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
