JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:

Coordinator of Network, Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and/or a minimum of five (5) years experience in managing network, cybersecurity and information technology infrastructure and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the area of supervision.
  1. Administration and communication skills.
  1. Certification in Cisco Certified Network Professional
  1. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Technology

SUPERVISES:

Network Administrators

Network Technicians

Telecom Specialist

Computer Technicians

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Coordinator of Network, Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure ensures network stability, security, and performance, developing policies, overseeing projects, handling budgets, leading teams, and implementing cybersecurity technology to protect digital assets. The Coordinator bridges technical teams and management, focusing on operational security, incident response, and strategic planning for secure network growth, dealing with everything from physical security to cloud threats.

  1. Network Management: Oversee daily network health, performance, and incident response.
  2. Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  3. Leadership: Manage network teams, coordinate with other departments, and liaise with vendors.
  4. Budget & Procurement: Plan and manage Erate program for hardware/software, and negotiate vendor contracts.
  5. Risk & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with standards.
  6. Project Management: Lead complex network tech projects and manage implementation of new systems.
  7. Training & Awareness: Educate staff on security protocols and conduct emergency drills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve (12) months

Evaluated by the CIO - Chief Information Officer – Technology

Compensation and benefits as established by the collective negotiations’ agreement.
