Information Technology Manager

Full-time, 12-month position

Essential Functions:

Assist the Director of I.T. in the following areas/duties of the department:

• Anticipating current and future needs of the department and of the technology program at WHRHS, and in preparing budgetary requirements for the same.
• Preparing for Board of Education meetings and all staff presentation meetings throughout the school year (e.g., Back-to-School Night, 8th Grade Orientation Meetings, Commencement, and like events).
• Establishing and maintaining the computer repair inventory.
• Maintaining and developing the school website.
• Serving as a technological liaison with other school districts.
• Implementing and overseeing system security measures, including cameras/video surveillance
• Resolving network issues related to the door access control system
• Extracting and making available for District review pertinent video, e-mail, and text information from school servers.
• Making recommendations for maintaining and advancing the network and its related systems current, and in preparing budgetary recommendations for the same.
• Assist in all issues arising under the Global Connect system

Direct the subordinate I.T. staff in the following duties:

• Managing the I.T. “ticket” system for promptly and efficiently resolving staff issues with I.T. software or hardware
• Installing software and hardware upgrades and improvements.
• Providing on-site technological consultation to staff members

Implement and oversee the correct functioning of the telephone and clock systems.

Maintain and troubleshoot the Point of Sale Cash Register system.

Provide technical knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.

Maintain dual platforms for Apple and PC equipment.

Ensure the efficient operation of District local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networks.

Maintain confidentiality of computer accessible information.

MINIMUM SALARY: $60,000
