Head JV Girls Volleyball Coach / Varsity Assistant

Overview:

Mount Saint Mary Academy is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach while also assisting the Varsity Head Coach. This position is ideal for a coach who is committed to developing student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall success and continuity of the volleyball program.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Head Coach for the JV Girls Volleyball team
• Plan and conduct daily practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy
• Coach and manage all JV competitions
• Assist the Varsity Head Coach with practices, game preparation, and match-day responsibilities
• Promote alignment and consistency between JV and Varsity program philosophies
• Evaluate student-athletes and provide constructive feedback to support development
• Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration
• Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic department expectations

Qualifications:

• Prior volleyball coaching experience (high school or club preferred)
• Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies
• Ability to teach and develop players at varying skill levels
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, and student-athlete development
• Availability for all scheduled practices and matches during the fall season

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within a high school athletic program
• Experience coaching both JV and Varsity levels
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation:

• Competitive seasonal stipend ranging from $5,000–$7,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Start Date:

• August 2026 (Preseason)
