John Fenwick Academy (183 Smith Street, Salem NJ) is looking for a Technology Coordinator to support the school and the District with its technology needs.
Position will be available July 1, 2024.
TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS: BA in information technology or related field of study, or
Experience working in technology or related fields. and
Demonstrated abilities in leadership, organization, and managing responsibilities, and
Such other qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum & Instruction
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in coordinating the maintenance of effective operation of all district computers, printers, computer peripherals, information technology network hardware, and connections.
- Manage the district computer connectivity network within and between district buildings and to the national infrastructure.
- Ensure the effective installation, implementation, and integration of desktop and network software and resources.
- Maintain a complete inventory of all district hardware and software related to information and instructional technology
- Procure, as directed, price quotes and other cost estimates, research options, and recommend solutions for improvement of the district’s technology network and peripherals.
- Assist in the visioning, development, implementation, and maintenance of district web-based resources.
- Work with the teachers as directed to improve the utilization of district technology resources for instruction and other district purposes.
- Participate in meetings and other collaborations to improve district capacities for information technology and the delivery of services.
- Continually review the ever-changing technology needs of the district and assist in developing and implementing technological innovations in hardware, software, and connectivity to effectively meet these needs.
- Other activities as determined appropriate by district supervisors.
In the performance of the above, the coordinator shall visit the schools regularly and work cooperatively with administrators and teachers.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month contract
Follows support staff contract excluding calendar, pay scale,
and vacation
Follows administrative calendar
Three weeks vacation, after ten years four weeks vacation
Salary based on experience set by the Superintendent
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
