THE POSITION
 

This position is for a self-contained classroom that is not co-taught or integrated. The candidate will be a Special Education Elementary teacher with ABA training; with experience working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, and strong behavior modification experience.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 
 

1. Teacher of Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities and P-3 Certificate required.
2. ABA experience or experience working with students with Autism is preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to work with special education students.
4. Previous experience with preschool students preferred.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.

12. Uses technology for communication purposes.
