Description BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING  

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following position:

TEACHER OF THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING - PRESCHOOL
(10 Months – Certificated)
HEARING IMPAIRED PROGRAM - GODWIN
 
Qualifications:
  1. Possess a New Jersey DOE certificate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Oral/Aural communication.
  2. New Jersey DOE elementary education endorsement – required.
  3. Knowledge of AVT techniques and sign language communication – preferred.
  4. Background working with hearing impaired students – preferred.
  5. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.
