Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2024
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Valid NJ Elementary Education Grades K-6 Certificate with valid NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Certificate, OR NJ Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Certificate .
2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
3. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
6. Experience in working with students with autism/behavioral and academic learning differences.
7. ABA experience strongly preferred.
8. Knowledge of positive behavior supports.
9. Ability to effectively modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
10. Experience with data-based instruction.
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Personnel Services/Principal
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: Starting salary Step 1 BA $71,017 BA or $79,122 MA. Refer to terms of collective bargaining agreement (pending completion of negotiations).
